About Elements 4:1

Elements 4:1 is a concentrate line marking paint designed for football clubs, GAA clubs, rugby grounds and sports contractors who mark pitches regularly and need a cost-effective, reliable paint. Bright, weather-resistant and easy to apply, Elements 4:1 delivers clean, visible lines on natural grass pitches every time.

Its 4:1 dilution ratio — 2.5L of paint to approximately 4L of water per pitch — makes it one of the most accessible concentrates in the Pitchmark range. Water-based, biodegradable and environmentally friendly. Made by Pitchmark.

How to Use

Mix thoroughly with water at a ratio of 2.5L of paint to approximately 4L of water per full-size football pitch. Do not exceed a 4:1 ratio. One 10L container marks up to 4 full-size pitches.

For best results, use a Green Flat Fan Nozzle (F110-015) with a compatible spray line marker.

Elements 4:1 vs Clubline vs Lumen — Which Should I Choose?

Elements 4:1 is the entry-level concentrate — ideal for clubs on a budget or contractors marking multiple sites at lower cost. Clubline (€55) offers greater brightness and durability at a similar ratio. Lumen (€65) is the premium choice for match pitches needing maximum brightness and longevity. If budget is the priority, Elements 4:1 is a solid choice. For the best results, Clubline or Lumen are worth the upgrade.

Compatible With

Elements 4:1 works with all standard spray line markers including Pitchmark, Fleet Kombi, Zehnder, Turf Tank and most other pedestrian spray markers. Also fully compatible with transfer wheel line marking machines.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many pitches does 10L of Elements 4:1 mark?
Up to 4 full-size football or GAA pitches at the recommended 2.5:4 dilution ratio.

What nozzle should I use?
We recommend the Green Flat Fan Nozzle (F110-015) for spray markers.

What does 4:1 mean?
It refers to the maximum dilution ratio — up to 4 parts water to 1 part paint. We recommend 2.5L paint to 4L water per pitch for best results.

Is Elements 4:1 suitable for GAA pitches?
Yes — suitable for all natural grass sports pitches including GAA, football and rugby.

Can I use Elements 4:1 with a transfer wheel marker?
Yes — fully compatible with both spray and transfer wheel line marking machines.

How does Elements 4:1 compare to Clubline?
Both mark up to 4 pitches per 10L and use a similar dilution. Clubline is a step up in brightness and durability. Elements 4:1 is the more budget-conscious option.

Does Elements 4:1 need to be mixed with water?
Yes — mix 2.5L of paint with approximately 4L of water per pitch. Do not use undiluted.
