Which Pitch Marking Paint Do I Need?

Answer four quick questions, and we'll tell you exactly which Pitchmark paint to order. Or scroll down to read the full guide.

Question 1: What type of line marking machine do you have?

🤖 Robotic Line Marker (Turf Tank, Tiny Robot, FJ Dynamics)

You need Edge — it's the best choice for Pitchmark paint, formulated for robotic line-marking systems. Its anti-clog formula ensures uninterrupted lines throughout the full marking cycle with zero manual intervention. Use with a stainless-steel or hollow-cone nozzle. Can also be used with Direct or EcoLine+.

💚 Pitchmark Eco Spray Marker

Use Ecoline+ with a Green Misting Nozzle for the sharpest, most professional lines — the same paint used in the Premier League and Champions League. Just 1.5L per full-size pitch.

💨 Standard Spray Line Marker (Pitchmark Hybrid, Fusion, Eco Lite, Fleet Kombi, Titan spray line marker etc.)

Use any concentrate paint with a flat fan nozzle. Jump to Question 2 to narrow down which concentrate is right for you.

⚙️ Transfer Wheel Line Marker (Classic, Elements, Rigby Taylor etc.)

Use any concentrate paint — Clubline, Lumen, Extreme or Elements 4:1. Direct also works undiluted with transfer wheel machines for a no-mix option.

Question 2: What sport are you marking?

🏈 GAA (Football or Hurling)

White lines: Clubline White, Lumen White or Extreme White, depending on your budget and frequency of marking.

⚽ Football (Soccer)

Any white paint in the range. Clubline White is the most popular choice for football clubs across Ireland.

🏉 7v7 or 9v9 SSG on a Pitch with Existing White Lines

Clubline Blue — FAI recommended. Blue SSG lines on white-lined pitches are clearly distinguishable and required under FAI small-sided games guidelines.

🏉 Rugby

Clubline White, Lumen or Extreme. GAA clubs with large pitches often use Extreme for the best coverage and lowest cost per pitch.

Question 3: How often do you mark?

Once a week or less — training pitches or occasional use

Elements 4:1 (€45) or Clubline White (€55). Both mark up to 4 pitches per 10L and offer excellent value for lower-frequency marking.

2–3 times per week — match pitches marked regularly

Lumen White (€65) — 5 pitches per 10L, brighter and more durable than Clubline. Lines last longer between applications, reducing how often you need to remark.

County grounds, professional facilities or high-traffic pitches

Extreme White (€75) — Pitchmark's highest grade concentrate. 6 pitches per 10L, maximum brightness, longest-lasting lines. Lowest cost per pitch in the range at €12.50.

Question 4: What’s your budget per 10L?

Budget Recommended Paint Why
Under €50 Elements 4:1 — €45 Best entry-level concentrate, 4 pitches per 10L
€50–€60 Clubline White — €55 Ireland's best-selling paint, with brighter lines than Elements
€60–€70 Lumen White — €65 Premium brightness, 5 pitches per 10L, longer-lasting lines
Over €70 Extreme White — €75 Best performance & lowest cost per pitch — 6 pitches per 10L

Still Not Sure?

The most popular choice for GAA and football clubs across Ireland is Clubline White — it's our best-selling paint for good reason. If you want to upgrade, Lumen White is the next step up. For the absolute best result, choose Extreme White.
